2345 Multi Beat

GRID BOOK NATION!

We are excited to present "2345 Multi Beat" by Mark Perrett! This exercise helps you develop Multiple Strokes and rhythmic accuracy. This also helps you think about music in groupings. Use this to see how 2, 3, 4, and 5 partial groupings feel different against the down beat (quarter note).

PRACTICE TIPS:

- Put 16th notes on the metronome and play "double stops" with the metronome. (This means every partial you play aligns perfectly with every partial coming from the metronome.)
- Mark time and really focus on hand to foot alignment. (Put your feet to the metronome and your hands to your feet)
- Practice this with block heights and decay.
- Fill in the gaps with the opposite hand for a great stick control exercise.
