BRING SOMETHING TO THE TABLE
As a performer, it is your responsibility to bring something to the table every rehearsal. Sometimes we see students who show up and make it seem like rehearsal is something that is happening to them, instead of something they’re contributing to. And when enough people show up expecting other people to make them better, your ensemble will never reach it’s full potential.
But when every person shows up with something of value they have developed on their own, that adds up and the group has an opportunity to reach higher levels of performance.
So do your best to develop yourself as an individual so when you get to the group setting you’re adding to the growth and development of your program as a whole.
