GO ALL IN

It doesn't matter what you're doing, if you want to be great at it you have to go all in. And in an ensemble, EVERY SINGLE PERSON has to live with this mentality.

If you have ever been in an ensemble, you might have seen things like people missing rehearsals, showing up not knowing their music, or not practicing at home. What we don’t think about is the fact that even 1 mistake from the individual means there can be a bunch of mistakes as an ensemble.

That is why every ensemble we work with uses the 100% of 100% rule. Every individual has to bring 100% focus and energy to rehearsal to create 100% potential for the ensemble. If the majority of the group brings 100%, but 2 or 3 people slack off and don’t achieve at a high level, the quality of the entire group goes down.
It takes every single person going all in at the same time to create a performance worth watching. You are going to make mistakes, and that's ok, but you have to give it everything you've got EVERY SINGLE DAY

So think about your role. Think about your responsibilities and what you are bringing to the table every rehearsal. And make sure that whatever that is, you’re putting in the most effort possible so everyone on the team can benefit directly from your lifestyle.
