Drumming is a community activity, but we do a lot of practice time on our own. Sometimes you can practice regularly with no problem, but other times there is a lack of motivation. There are a lot of factors here, but one thing that can help you stay consistent is having an accountability partner.

Find another drummer you trust and give them permission to hold you accountable for getting better. Then you do the same for them. Set goals for yourself and let them know so they can help you stay on task. You can even drum together often because your goals are probably the same!
