USE MUSIC TO HELP YOU CHOP OUT

Chopping out is one of the most important things you can do for your chops! There is working on your music to understand it, but there is also the physical endurance of being able to perform your music for long periods of time. Even if you know WHAT you're supposed to play, and HOW to play it, you still might fall short if you don't have the chops to do it.⠀
Due to the repetitive nature of chopping out, it can get "boring" to do with a metronome alone. So find music you enjoy, and chop out to that! Try to find music that has a steady beat and jam out to it! Try all different kinds of music as well so you can feel your music against many different syncopations and styles. And with anything you do, ALWAYS PRACTICE WITH QUALITY AND PROPER TECHNIQUE! Don't just hack and mess around. ⠀
